ok... this is written like 2 months after my retreat. what is there to say?
i enjoyed my time there very much. slow. peaceful. easy. relaxed. mindful. present.
one highlight of my meditation there was when one day (around day 6 or 7) in the morning i felt a change in my body and my mind during sitting meditation. i felt lightness in my body which became upright and some tiny glimpse of happiness in my mind. it was one of those moments where your mind starts getting interested in watching your breathing in/out concentration meditation. usually your mind wanders around, jumping from the past to the future, from your friends to your dog, from thailand to austria, like a monkey. restless. it is always in the search for distraction. hard to stay focused, concentrated on one point.
but the problem was that the very moment i started noticing that change, accompanied by a big smile on my face, i wanted to push it longer. game over. it faded away like click as soon as my mind started to think about it. it was the only time i got this feeling. didnt get it a second time =((
another highlight in my mindfulness was the experience of pain while doing walking meditation on a coarse stoney path. the sensation was here, but it wasnt painful as it used to be when you walk over it not in mindfulness.
it was really worth the experience. you learn a lot about the world in your mind. and you learn to live in the present. people there were very nice and helpful. always at your side, when you need support. food was vegetarian and very delicious. the banana desserts were marvelous. very peaceful ground. maybe not the most quiet due to the nearby highway. i will do it again. definitely.
