Only stopped in Lima for one night, but the days before and after provided enough time to see plenty of sights. I arrived on an overnight bus with Lindsay from the Huaraz trek, and we managed to negotiate the local busses to the suburb of Miraflores, where we found a dorm room. After an early morning nap and a breakfast pieced together from a nearby fancy supermarket, we hoppped a collectivo to central Lima. Visited Iglesia San Francisco and it's underground crypt, which contains the recently discovered bones of around 70,000 people. Also took a tour of the Museo de la Inquisicion. The site was the headquarters of the Spanish Inquisition for all of Latin America for 250 years. Disappointingly, they didn't have the comfy chair on display.
