Soooo hey all!!  I'm in New York!  Yay!  And this time I have a travel companion...my best friend and roommate, Willow. :)  My good friend Jodi moved here last year, so we decided what better opportunity to go visit??  We took a red-eye in Thursday night, and celebrated St.Patty's Day New York style on Friday. It was a lot of fun--decked out in our green, and drank a lot of Guinness...

The weekend was pretty mellow--just did a little walk through Central Park, and got caught up on sleep.  Jodi lives in Queens....which SOUNDS kinda scary, but it's not. :) Today was fun though--we went on the Double-Decker bus tour of Uptown Manhatten, which was more like a tour of the stars.  BUT the tour-guide was good and funny--which was helpful in distracting us SOMEWHAT from the freeeeeezing cold weather.... heh heh... I think we were the only ones THAT bundled up though--the locals are used to it.  We saw The Dakota, where John Lennon was shot, and learned that Connie Chung and Maury Povich live there.  :)  AND we saw the famous building from Ghost Busters, and.... the Soup Nazi kitchen from Seinfeld...  Yes yes, good tour.

Eventually, we needed to eat, and kill sometime before we got on the Night Tour, so we got off the bus in Time Square.  This was pretty cool... we saw THE Naked Cowboy, and Sean Paul out front of MTV studios.....TRL--It's MTV Spring Break!!  (If you don't know who that is...well, I'm going to pretend that I don't...) The FUNNIEST thing was that this guy with like, THREE huge cameras kept taking pictures of Willow...  First let me point out that we were both dressed very warmly--HOWEVER, Willow was wearing all black, with a
black hat, and sunglasses......  So anyway, we were waiting to cross the street to get a picture with the Naked cowboy, and I noticed this man take a picture of us with a telephoto lens.... When we got to the median, this crazy paparazzi guy kept getting all up close to us, and looking at us weird and taking pictures.  We looked at him weird
back, and then went back across the steet--and he was AT THE OTHER SIDE FACING US!!  I don't know how he did it, vut he did, and he was taking pictures again... Willow finally said, "No pictures!"  and then he apologized and moved on.  I think he thought she was someone famous incognito or something....  SOOOO if you happen to be in the grocery store with in the next few days, and see some woman dressed in black
"out and about in New York," it just might be Willow!!  LOL

The rest of the day wasn't as eventful, but we DID get our first taste of New York Pizza, and took the Night Tour--which consisted of a REALLY bad tour guide, who proceeded to only point the obvious.... For
example, "On our right is Macy's.... On our left is Burger King....I ate there once.  Oh!  Then there's Banana Republic, Oh! and the Empire State Building....sure...."  No fun facts, and no jokes...  The coolest
part though, was going over the Manhattan Bridge, which provided a beautiful view of the skyline, and the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset.  After that, it was just cold, and I had to go to the bathroom REALLY
bad....and all I hear is, "Oh and there's another Barnes and Noble!"  I just wanted OFF!!!

:)  We made it home safe and sound though, and tomorrow we're going to do the rest of the tour.... LOWER
Manhattan.  THIS tour will bring us to places like the Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island or whatnot...should be fun.  :)  But for now I'm clean and warm...and I need some sleep :)
