After a broken night of about 4-5 hours sleep we got ready for the next half of the journey up the I95. Breakfast options were great, various types of toast, mini muffins, cereal and they had a waffle maker. I had cinnamon toast and a muffin but oh I wish I had made one of those waffles! They also had a range of syrups out for the coffee so I had black coffee with a raspberry syrup, yum!

Had the standard chat with the American sitting on the next table to us after hearing our accents asked where we were from. It even included the "if it wasn't for us you'd be speaking German" line! I do love Americans, they are funny!

Setting off in the daylight on the interstate is hopefully a little bit what my heaven will be like - me, a car and pretty much an open road! I really love it, happy as a clam is a term from a film that I'll use here to describe me on the interstate and most roads here! I know you still get some places where congestion is bad, I have been to L.A.!

I knew gas was cheaper over here than at home but not as cheap as it has been in the past. I was stunned when I filled the car up. $36.25 it came to. For the whole tank!!! Roughly guessing it's about 30, I put that in my car and it doesn't even fill it half up. I did 500 miles on this, at home I get about 50 miles for the same money it's disgusting! I even got to slam the toilet door into the State Sheriff (still didn't get arrested!) and got an apology from him.

Coming off the interstate onto one of the freeways we were greeted with the view of the road in front of us and no other cars. I could see a couple in the rear view mirror but for a small moment there was nothing to be seen in front. Again, I absolutely love this!

We arrived at my aunt's around 12.30pm, had some lunch and just spent the afternoon chatting and trying to keep ourselves awake. I made some new friends with my aunt's dog Quesa (pronounced casa and who I've met before but 10 years ago), a cat called Calico (or Cally who has the weirdest mouth I have ever seen on a cat, pics of weird mouth to follow) and her 5 ducks. She has some tortoises too but they were hiding. Had dinner and flaked out around 8pm.
