Where I stayed
Bali Garden Hotel Resort And Spa
We came out from breakfast and our Creative Holidays host Anne was waiting for us (we dont know how long for poor thing) and we told her everything we wanted to do and she booked it all for us right then and there including transport. She was so cute, she said what would you like to get made while your in Bali? I did actually want some shoes made and a dress for Jenna. She called her tailor and by the end of our meeting the tailor arrived in her business car and Anne said - "This is my friend, she is tailor, you go with her now" Haha ok? We got in her car feeling weird...is this normal? We got to the tailor which was a little shack, they gave us water and we organised shoes ($85 x 2) and dress ($110). After the tailor drove us back to our hotel, James confessed he saw a massive rat that was the size of a possum in the tailors, but didnt tell me about it because he knew i would scream haha
We thought we'd be brave and go shopping/bartering, we looked at some jewellery first which they called was real silver
Luckily i had tips before i left for Bali knowing how much to buy stuff for because the first offer they give you is absolutely ridiculous. We walked up further and bought 2 sunnies for 50 000rp ($5). Bought a Louis Vuitton Bag for $25 "honeymoon special".
Maccas for lunch - i had nuggets that were really puffy!
DVD time - Discovery mall for DVDs! We spent 1 100 000rp! ($110) but we did get over 100 dvds.
Went back to the room to drop off and get photos with our dvds! Then we went for a swim in our hotel pool then got ready for our seafood night in Jimbaran Bay. We got a free shuttle organised by Anne at 5:30pm to be in time for the sunset.
We got to the restaurant and were greeted with a frangipani in our hair and were seated at the table at the very front of the beach. We ordered yet another seafood platter, we had just enough money to pay for it so when the cute little group of singers that came around serenading to couples for tips we avoided eye contact because we didnt have money to tip them! haha. We watched the beautiful sunset and paid our bill and were on our wait out to find a taxi and the restaurant staff said "i get you free car" and they put us in a car and we got a ride home! I don't know if it was because we bought the seafood platter or if everyone got treated like this!
