We have cleared another state and another mile stone. We crossed over the state border 3 days ago from New Mexico into Colorado, after a fabulous ride through the Trinchera pass. The last few days of New Mexico had a much nicer climate, cool temperatures, gentle breeze, mile upon mile of green grass. Fantastic countryside. The evening before we crossed into Colorado, we were invited to a Cowboy Shin Dig down in the local town. We met loads of the local people, visited the museum, had a BBQ and listened to a very good Western singer until a thunderstorm let rip, very interesting evening though.

Now we have crossed over though, the heat is back in full force and the biting bugs are blowing my mind! Lisa and I spent half of our ride swatting a horse and a half each as we were ponying Nick, trying to give them some relieve from the bombardment they were getting. Otherwise all is good, Gent is putting some weight on, making him look even better. At the ranch we stayed at last night, they have a herd of Elk that wander around their property by the river. Unfortunately we didn't see any but I am hoping to before I head back to England.

Otherwise not much to tell, but lots of more photos to add instead.
