It's official, I've now been at Camp Rim Rock for 7 weeks and I only have 6 left! It's flown by so quickly, just said goodbye to another cabin full of children and General session 3 starts tomorrow when we have another 12 kids arriving. Things are all still going well, although we've been warned that the next two weeks are the hardest as everyone is so tired. Things pick up again after that as you get into the last 4 weeks and the end really is in sight. I have to admit, I am starting to get a bit fed up with the camp food, eating the same meal on the same day of the week each week was good at first but now it's just boring. May have to treat myself to a trip to 'Fun'chester on my next day off and eat some real food. I'm also now very much looking forward to a nice warm bath as a change from showers!

For those who don't know, I had an email to say that I didn't get the job at Our Cabana so plans for October and beyond need to chance. I'm currently weighing up a few options but I really want to go to Mexico so I'm aiming to get there somehow for a month or two. Also found out that the two girls I was hoping to road trip with after camp can't make it now, one is back in the UK already! Luckily we hadn't booked anything so no money lost, just need to rearrange my plans a little.

Talking of traveling after camp though, I have finally made some bookings. I leave camp on the 31st August and will be heading to Washington DC for 3 nights and then to Philadelphia for another 3. Hostels are booked, just need to sort out transportation now, after having found out that the Greyhound bus website can't accept none UK based card payments! Slightly irritating but hopefully I can persuade a nice American to pay it for me and then pay them back. Traveling with me will be Nutmeg (Meagan) who's from New Zealand and one of the other Counselors in the Shawnee unit. We're also going to head to New York together around the 20th September, after I get back from Canada. Unfortunately Nutmeg's visa doesn't allow her to leave the US and re-enter in the same way that mine does so she can't come with me then.
