okay ... so the time came where I had to leave Queenstown. As much as I didn't want to. My Israeli friends all left and it was just me and my American buddy Grahem.
Grahem was off to Nelson (north end of the island) for traffic court (is what happens when you drive on the wronge side of the road!) and I wanted to head to Greymouth. So he offered me a lift.
Fantastic drive up the coast ... lots of hills and trees and shit .... awesome. got to greymouth in the evening and in the morning I decided I just needed to haul ass back to Australia. Otherwise leaving would be to hard if I doddled around anymore. So I booked a train through Aurthor's pass to Christchuch for the pm and a 6am flight to Brisbane for the day after (Sunday).
Grahem decided he wanted to get his earpierced before he left for Nelson ... so after running around to every shop in the shitty town he finally talked this french guy who ran a head shop to do it for him ($20 extra is what did it). So we got him pierced and then it was off to the train station. The train ride is really cool ... would recomend.
It's been so fast, I'm still trying to get my head on straight. had a couple hours to sleep in Christchurch at my friend Sonya and Chris's place, but was up at 3:30 am to get to the airport ontime for my flight.
So, I'm back in Brisbane now ... sucks. It is nice and hot though which is nice.
From here it's off to my cousin Karen's for the remainder of my trip. Do the family thing then come home. Will get pics up when I can. sorry.
