We got off the bus in front of the entrance of the Palace. Around the entrance, there were some remains from the past, so I expected much from the ruins in the Palace, too. Unfortunately, the palace was beautifully restored and not authentically beautiful with the original form
Just next to the palace, there was a sage's tomb and he was admired by Emperor Akbar. It looked a great tomb, but we didn't visit there and I didn't care. From my travel experience, I know that visiting too many sights spoils the whole travel, because we are likely to waste so much time in boring sights during very limited vacation time.
Fatehpur Sikri Video
This is a video of UNESCO. It's just like an audio-visual guide
A look at Fatehpur Sikri Video
The ruin was nominated for the Seven Wonders of India, a TV program. This video is a part of the program broadcast by NDTV in 2009.

The poll result was as follows. Incidentally, all of the selected wonders seems to be ruins.
1. Jaisalmer Fort
3. Red Fort
4. Sun Temple
5. Meenakshi Temple
6. Dohlavira Site
Taj Mahal is not seen in the list, but it was chosen as "Wonder of Wonders". Come to think of it, Taj Mahal is only world-famous, in contrast to other nationally famous sites. Actually, I have never visited the sites listed above, so I cannot make a comment on them.
