Cory is originally from Spokane. It is through Calvary Spokane's outreaches to Sochi since 2000 that Cory and I got acquainted. We've become close friends since then. In 2003, there was a Calvary Chapel church plant in the city of Volgograd. It is then that Cory's future wife, Lena, became both a Christian and a vital part of the Church Body in Volgograd. I met her when she and several other guys and girls came to our Youth Camp in Sochi in 2005 or 2006 (I don't remember exactly). Eventually, Cory and Lena got married and Lena moved to America. I haven't seen them for a long time.
When I landed in LA in late the evening of June 4th, Cory was waiting for me there. What a privilege to have friends and family in the Lord all over the world!!! We spent two full days together talking, walking, praying, eating, laughing. On Sunday, June 6th, we went together to Reality LA church. It was totally cool!!! Praise the Lord for diversity of His Body! I am 36 years old and I was one of the few seniors there! 8-)
But time flies very fast, especially when well-spent :(
In the evening of Sunday, June 6th, another friend of mine, Kirk came to pick me up and drove me to Murrieta Hot Springs Calvary Chapel Bible College the next day...
