After breakfast we diligently applied sun cream in preparation for another day out on the dunes. Our driver turned up just after 09:00 and we again joined a Brazilian couple in our little yellow dune buggy. This time the Brazilians did not speak as good English as the last couple but were friendly none the less. Our driver today appeared to be much more conservative then our reckless driver two days ago. The entire day was very relaxed as we were taken around some of the area's most beautiful sights. We visited Paradise Dune, Heart Lake, Paradise Lagoon, and the Blue Lagoon. We spent most of our time at Paradise Lagoon where we drank the bottle of cachaca we brought with us. The bar staff were probably not too impressed about us sitting under the shade of a palm tree immediately adjacent to the beach huts where other tourists were drinking cocktails bought from the overpriced bar. To access the Blue Lagoon we had to catch a small boat with a triangular sail. We were most impressed with the skill shown by the unlikely rough sailor who navigated his primitive vessel across the fast moving tidal waters. When our driver indicated that our time at the Blue Lagoon was up we had to reluctantly get out of the crystal clear water and make our way back to our buggy on the other side of the lake. Our driver than drove us back to our pousada, probably not going any faster than 30 kilometres an hour. Once back we decided to eat a late lunch at nearby restaurant which kept us going through the night. We only just finished our meal in time to make it down to the beach for sunset which was again extremely impressive. Before heading back to our pousada we watched the routine capoeira demonstration that did not fail to impress. This time we had front row positions which meant we were only inches from the fast moving limbs that were flying in all directions. When we got back we decided to have a quiet night in and repacked our bags before watching a movie prior to going to bed. This was a nice way to finish a relaxing few days in beautiful Jericoacoara.
