Today after a sneaky sleep in we had a day of views.  We walked across the Chain Bridge and up to Buda Castle to enjoy the views of the Danube.  From there we visited the beautifully tiled Mathias Church and the Fisherman's Bastion that overlooks the River like a fairy tale castle.  next we walked to the top on Gellert Hill to the Citadel that gave the best view of the day over Pest and Buda.  After this big morning of walking we returned to our guesthouse for lunch.  On a whim we decided to go on a "Communist" walking tour run by All Free Walks Budapest which turned out to be absolutely FANTASTIC.  It gave a very good insight into not only the every day lives of people living through Communism in Hungary but also the differences between this and today's "Post Communist Democracy" which were fascinating.  After the tour we headed to the Jewish Quaarter for a cheap Hungarian meal.  We were recommended a restaurant that happened to have Rakot Krumpli on the menu (a childhood favourite of Michelle's) we were super excited to compare this one to the one Michelle makes in Australia but were devastated when the waiter said they were out of it :(  We did however enjoy a mushroom goulah and fish cheese schnitzel.  On the way home we dropped into a local 'dive' pub where the drinks are dirt cheap and the place is filled with old Hungarians playing cards.  Here they sell wine by the schooner so we enjoyed some for a bit while we people watched.
