We started the day early with a drive from Bulawayo to Masvingo which sits on the beautiful Kyle Lake. After setting up camp and having lunch we went on a guided tour of Great Zimbabwe which are ancient ruins dating back to the 13th century, likened to South America's Inca Temples. The stone structures where remarkable and when you use your imagination of what they would have been like in their glory days you could only be impressed. The King of Zimbabwe lived at the top of a hill with his 200 wives in the Grand Enclosure beneath. He would call for them using the echo from a cave when their services were needed. Well worth a visit for anyone who finds themselves in the area.
