I spent two days in Barcelona with my friend Tiara this weekend. We left on Friday at 1 in the morning because it is a 6 hour bus ride there. On Friday, we visited La Rambla, a huge main street that has a wide walkway in the middle with many different vendors and people putting on little sideshows for money. We also went to the Museu (museum) de Picasso and Museu de Xocolata (chocolate) and Port Vell. Signs and names are all in catalan, the regional language, which seems to me a mix between spanish and french. When we arrived in Barcelona, we got a map from a tourist information stand and commenced to walk around Barcelona without considering the difference in distance per cm on the map compared to the map of Pamplona which is a considerably smaller city. We walked muchissimo and were ready for a good nights sleep! We stayed the night in a 'campground' which had cabins, mobile homes, and spots for tents. We didn't know what we were reserving, only that it was the cheapest we had encountered online. It was a mobile home!! Interesting... It worked though; we had beds, a bathroom, and a kitchen.
