Day 1 of the 4-Day skiing holiday aka Christmas Day:

A blizzard and -40C.
A hotel that is currently under renovation.
No information regarding anything: Where can we hire snow boarding gear? where are the slopes? how do we get there? how do you turn on the hot water in the shower? is that cold donkey balls on the menu?
Probably doesn't help that none of the staff speak English and they don't understand Anna's Chinese.
Met a French-Canadian girl that told us about the shuttle bus between our hotel and the main slopes.
15min on the shuttle bus.
3hrs to pay for our ski pass and equipment hire, get dressed and strapped onto our boards only to get sent out into a raging snow blizzard that made you take three steps back for every one step you took forward.
Why did you let us go out in the blizzard? And we can't get a refund? Great.
Missed the Club Med lunch buffet so Christmas dinner consisted of Pot Noodles, bags of crips and tiny toffee apples.
Tiny toffee apples were delicious.
Splurged on a Club Med Evening pass for 70quid per person that got us access to the evening buffet (yey! no donkey balls!), their evening entertainment (think Dirty Dancing's Kellerman Retreat) and a free bar.
