Last Thursday I got a ride into Colombo and took advantage of the opportunity to get a checkup and some shopping done. How very exciting...
But Denise and I had a great time as usual - we convinced 3-wheel drivers that we were famous opera singers in town for an exclusive show and ate the most delicious sushi!
Many thanks to Elfriede and Mike who put us up again - our home away from home away from home! Here is the view from their beautiful apartment.

In other news, the neighbor recently acquired a rooster and a polecat has made its home in my ceiling. Both lovely animals have conspired to wake me at 5. One by crowing and one by chewing on the wood above my bed!
