This morning, we got picked up by Enterprise Rental Car Service. We got a Ford Focus, the same car that I had my driving school in. After we got the car, we went to check out where Uncle Bill is going to store the RV. It seems like a nice and secure place to store it. Afterwards, we drove downtown. We stopped at Fishermen's Wharf. There were alot of piers along the bay front. At the Wharf, we ate lunch at a restaurant from which we could see the Golden Gate Bridge. It was still foggy, so we could not see the top of it. From the Wharf, we also were able to see Alcatraz. We also got to see some of the famous street cars of San Francisco. The one everyone sees on Fall House was empty in the middle of the road.
After leaving the Wharf, we headed to the Presidio, what was a military base during World War II to protect the entrance to the bay. Today, its public land. At the park, we were able to get pictures of the bridge, the fort, Alcatraz, and San Francisco. It is obviously a busy channel since two large ships came through at a good clip within a short amount of time. We then headed up to the ocean side of the beach. There was some World War II to bunkers on that side to protect the harbor from enemy invasion. From this side, I took some more pictures. We then headed back to the camper. It was still cool and foggy today. Tomorrow, we're moving to a campground farther to the south and closer to where we are going to leave the camper.
