Last night, we had a thunderstorm go through at 1 in the morning. I woke up to the pouring rain and couldn't help but to watch the show. I felt bad for the people staying in tents in the campground. Also, we had to be aware of how much rain fell since we are in a flood plane, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't enough to flood. During the day we went downtown to San Antonio. We checked out the Alamo. It was ashame to see that very little is left of the original Alamo fortress. Most of the original structure was built over either by streets or surrounding buildings. We went over to the River Walk. It was really cool. Lots of people, shops, tours of the river. The area was filled with fountains and vegetation. We took a river tour, enjoyed going down the river, and hearing the history of the city. It was hot and humid, but an enjoyable day in San Antonio.
