Bit of a short stop on our way to Argentina, we spent a couple of days spent enjoying the sunshine and exploring the city before heading to Colonia, another smaller town for a relaxing weekend. We managed to enjoy lots of food and wine while we were here (there�s a shock for Herdy and I?!) because though the food was great in Brazil, the wine left a bit to be desired so it was time to make up for lost time !

While in Colonia we even managed to catch a top of the table clash in the Uruguaian league... Colonia (4th place) were playing the 2nd placed team Nationale. It was possibly one of the most entertaining 0-0 draw�s I can remember, with the away team all over the dire Colonia team but failing to take advantage (football clich�tastic!).
