From Nasca we got an overnight bus to Arequipa, PeruŽs second city and a beautiful place with really stunning buildings and loads of good restaurants and bars... Unsurprisingly it made for a good few days !
We all spent a day or so looking round the city before Simona, Caz and I headed to Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world and home to loads of condors. Herdy had already been on a previous trip so he decided to pick up where we left off with Kilimanjaro and went for a walk up a 5,800m volcano near Arequipa... Thankfully I had a good enough excuse to pass on it, IŽll hold out my walking boots for Patagonia !
