Well, wish I could say happy holidays to everyone with a bit more cheer, but it's pretty grim these days as the horrific news just keeps coming in the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunamis around the Indian Ocean.

I can only hope and send positive vibes out to all the fantastic people I've met over the past 10 months in these areas, all the local people and the travellers. So many people have lost so much...For my friends out there in Asia, drop me a line and let me know you're ok.

Thanks to the kind emails from everyone (and phone calls to my family!), but I'm very safe. I was luckily on the opposite coast of India when it all hit, and am now far inland up in chilly Delhi before I head further north to McLeod Ganj tomorrow night on the bus.

If you haven't already, please consider donating online to the Red Cross/Red Crescent, Oxfam, CARE, World Vision or your favourite TRUSTED aid organization; it's shaping up to be the largest relief effort in the world's history, and it's so desperately needed.
