After Troy, we returned and just chilled for a half hour. Then we were off to the Gallipoli Peninsula. The following fact will explain the importance of Gallipoli: 500,000 people died as a result of 8 months of battle in World War I
We took a private boat across the Dardenalle and ate lunch. Then we drove in a bus to each battle site. Our guide was also pretty knowledgeable. He explained the history and anecdotal stories from both sides of the battle. This battle was especially interesting due to how all sides of the battle demonstrated respect for one another and continue to today as well!
Well, we've got to run off to a movie with Mel Gibson about Gallipoli. We'll be back to add pictures and maybe write some more.
Love you all!
