We went out for breakfast this morning. Finding a place to eat was a long story, so I won't bother writing about it. We ate while our clothes were being washed at the Laundromat. In the afternoon we decided to go to Pointe Lobos State Park. It turned out to be a lot better than we thought it would be. There was an old whaling station in the park near the bay. That was interesting to see. The park also hiking trails that went right a long the bay. On the trail we hiked, we saw a ton of seals. They were black, white, and gray, and some of them had spots. At the end of the trail, we found tide pools. What we had been looking for but never expected to see at that park. They were amazing!! We found star fish, sea urchins, hermit crabs, snails, tons of regular crabs… Ahh, it was so cool!
After leaving the park, we drove to the fisherman’s Wharf. It was pretty much a board walk with lots of restaurants and little shops. We ate seafood for dinner. I think it was the first time that I had gone to a fancy seafood restaurant. It was really good. To top off the fun day, we were able to find a camp ground that had spaces. It was great!
