All through the night, we heard seals making noises. So in the morning we took a walk along the bay to try to find some. We saw a sea otter bathing himself in the water, it was really cute. Unfortunately the only seals we could see were out pretty far in the ocean. There were a lot of pelicans though.

In the afternoon we went out on the beach for a little. We didn't have our swim suits on or anything, so we just hung out. The beach was piled with all sorts of seaweed. The boys found these long reed things that worked really well as whips. They worked a lot like Indiana Jones’s whip.haha. They hurt too. I found that out after I let matt lasso my leg with one. Though we did find a lot of seaweed, we didn’t find any tide pools. We drove a couple more miles down the coast to look for more, but didn’t find a whole lot.

The rest of the afternoon we spent going to gift shops while dad got the trailer crank fixed. On our way to the camp ground, we pulled off the road to see elephant seals a long the beach. They were amazing. There were about 36 of them sleeping along the beach. They were gigantic. It was pretty neat to see.  Of course, all the camp grounds around happened to be full, so we experienced night number two of pull off the road camping. Oh my:P
