Today we saw the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately when we got there, the view wasn't very good. There were four or five forest fires that were burning in the area, so the canyon was filled with smoke. As we drove to further stops we could see a little better though. A ranger said that the smoke looks really neat when the sun sets, so we decided to stay all day. When the sun set, it did look pretty neat. The colors were really brilliant, and the smoke turned a purple color.

Those pictures realy look great! I like the Sun on the Rocks picture. It looks like you guys are having fun! Well, I really wish I could've seen route 66 too. Sniff sniff sniff. And no, you don' need to call the waambulance. See ya in 3 weeks!

Thats too bad that the canyon was full of smoke. That was definitely one of my favorite places when we went on our trip. It is so beautiful! Hope that you all are having a great time! We miss you here back in Lancaster=[ Can't wait for guys to get home.
