Embracing hereditary Islam, it is sometimes a feat to find a cold beer in Malaysia!

I am heading just North of the Equator - to Singapore, home of the famous Singapore Sling, first served in Raffles Hotel, 1915! Independant since 1965 and a major shipping and air transit mecca of the world.

I only had 2 days in Singapore. A small country full of 60%Chinese, 20%Malaysian, 10%India, 10%Mix. All of Asia foods are avialable here, shopping is everywhere. The zoo and night safari are a terrific visit. Prices are as high as North America, drinks and entertainment are steep.

You can cross the entire counrty in 1 - 1 1/2 hrs transit. Chengi International airport is clean and sports palm trees. The same historical location as the torture of prisoners of war. People are good enough but the FINE city posts many signs of common sense....do NOT, urinate on walls, spit, vandalize, even NO chewing gum!

A clean City with locals that take time for a special coffee or hooka.

I am now going home after 1 year to see if I still have a job, cool my cockles in the refreshing snow, purge my blood vessles of excess diving nitrogen and massage my hardened liver.
