New Orleans is seriously a 24 nightlife. Bourbon Street is great. Mon Tues - it doesn't matter. After 3 days at the India Hostel, $15 night and a pool, close to the French quarter (downtown)a little bit of site seeing around the Gradens and magazine and Cemetaries mostly architecture, and a Voodoo museum tour - I went to the bayou.
Me and Thomas (26y/o German) drove down I90 south and went on a Swamp tour on a AirBoat(big 350chev engine operating the fan). 1.5hrs and 40 small American Alligators, 1 - 8 ft alligator ans millions of Heron and birds. Fantastic time tons of pictures.
Then onto Galveston just inside Texas on the Gulf of Mexico. Party beach town we stayed the night and then drove to Houston the next day. Spent the day at the Nasa Space Center. ALL day. Huge!
