Jordan has fantastic roads with great scenery and not much traffic. The riding today was as good as Ethiopia but in a mountain type desert land scape.
I stopped today at Karak Castle. It was built in the 12 century and was used for battles between the Crusaders and the Muslim armies. It has tunnels that go underneath the castle, very cool to explore.
I had a nice room in a hotel in Petra last night it cost $20, so i am feeling guilty and free camping in the tent next to the dead sea. It overlooks the dead sea and has a better view than the $200 per room hotel up the road. I am finding that Jordan is not cheap, you tend to spend a lot of money. At $8 a beer there will be no more beer until i reach greener pastures. Oh well, such is life.
It is -350 odd meters here next to the dead sea so it is quite warm.

Is that $8usdper beer?? they would want to be very good, A far cry from the ranfurly you would normally buy.
