The roads in Namibia are good. Mostly groomed shingle but they can, and will catch you out as Dave found out.
I was waiting for Dave at one intersection and he did not show up so i rode back to find him. The BMW was in a heap in the middle of the road with the panniers and stuff on the side of the road. Dave was OK but the boxes were bent and the bike would not go. We were in the middle of no where. The starter switch was jammed full of dirt so 5 minutes and and a a big rock and a boot to fix the panniers and we were good to go.
It is dam good being a half decent mechanic.
Staying at camp site for $20 each a night Africa is not dirt cheap. The dood has lit the fire to heat up the cold water 4 a bath, cant wait to jump in with a cold beer.
