Our cabin is about 1km from the beach, which is nice and quiet with a string of beach bars which all serve the most delicious sea food feeding my addiction to squid!
Last night we ate on the beach about 100 yards from where the sea lapped against the sands, the bar was lit with dozens of pretty lights and lanterns and music drifted along the night breeze, it was idyllic.
we finished our dinner and walked hand in hand along the shore, it was romantic and would have been perfect if Jerome wasn't scared of either being dragged out to sea by a sea creature or a mythical sand creature dragging him in land! oh well such is life.
We are going back to the beach for dinner tonight, hopefully the rain will hold off. One downside to our stay so far is the weather, although warm it is over cast and rainy but at least it hasn't spoiled my swimming sessions!
We are thinking of hiring a moped tomorrow to explore the island, apparently you don't need to have a license to hire one, comforting......

Wow, it sounds like you're on a different planet, the world is getting smaller all of the time with air travel but living in the UK right now is freezing cold, dull and one just wants to stay in as much as possible... in the usual way.
Wishing you both a wonderful Christmas and looking forward to reading how you spend it and where you have diner. In Korea and North Asia it's also winter and so I'm yet to spend Christmas in the sun. x
