We again met Judy this morning and went over to the beach house. Gaby the contractor met us and answered some questions about remodeling. He thinks everything would cost less than $15,000 USD. Not too bad. We talked to the woman who lives next door about the property. She thinks it's 7-8 years old, which is what Gaby thought. Then it was off to Caye Caulker via the water taxi. It's a funky little island 30 minutes away. We ended up at the Lazy Lizard at the Split. The island was literally split in half by Hurricane Hattie in 1961. The result is a broken up concrete seawall that creates an unnatural reef for humans to hang out at. We drank rum drinks and watched guys dive into the water. Met a couple from Ohio - Jerry and Stephanie. Jerry is J-Dog on the AC message board. They've been coming here for 20 years. We enjoyed talking to them. It was a wonderful lazy day. After some great chicken nachos at Rainbow Grill, headed back to the big island. A nap was in order after all the sun and rum. We had a late dinner at Blue Water Grill - sushi and Thai beef salad. Very nice. A wonderful day.
