Today we drove over an incredible mountain pass from Queenstown to Wanaka climbing to the top of the world. Some of the most incredible views and nail biting drive. This is truly an amazing country with topography second to none.

We arrived in Wanaka shortly after noon and had a great lunch / breakfast overlooking the lake. After lunch and some souvenir shopping we drove the river route back to Queenstown that included many wineries. We stopped at one and tried their tastings and bought a bottle that we managed to consume back in our room.

Tomorrow we take our seventh flight to Wellington for a 2 night stay.
