We started the day with walking the quaint town of port Douglas, having the best lattes we have had, and then some shopping. After lunch we took a tour of the Daintrre Rain Forest.

Daintree is a world heritage site and the oldest rain forest on this planet. Today we cruised the Daintree river and followed Scarface, a 25 foot salt water crocodile, for 30 minutes. These crocs have been known to attack boats as evidenced by the tooth marks in the railing 4 feet above the water line. Scarface ignored us today even though we came within 15 feet of him.

After the river cruise we went deeper into the rain forest for a nature walk which culminated in a swim in the river, above the range of the crocs. After we were treated to tea and muffins at the national park lodge. Great day in Australia.
