So we eventually got out of Huacachina, we had enough of lazying by the pool and sand boarding in 5 days, and we were itchy to get out feet wet and get surfing for the first time in our trip.

So we landed in Loki hostel in Lima, and met up with a load of heads that we'd met along the way, and we partied hard for about a week to be honest, until most of those feicers went away home. Wicked bad influence they were, mostly English needless to say, but I let them know on numerous occasions about "what ye didn't do to our little country, with yer black and tans..". On the second day in Lima we bought surfboards and wetsuits etc, so we were all set up for a bit of surfing. Colin and Ed had a contact with a fella who ran a surf school, so he showed us the way to the breaks, where to go, etc. Gas man. We moved hostel too, to a cheaper one, that was closer to the beach too, in the Miraflores area of Lima city. So we stayed in this hostel then for a few days, very easy going, surfing daily, and not doing much else other than relaxing!

We got to try Cebiche too, a native dish, made with raw fish and dressing. Extremely tasty. I put too much Chili on mine the first day tho, had 3rd degree burns on the tongue and drank 2 beers in about a minute but sure god is good! Monnie, you would love the selection of fish they have in restaurants for nothing. Its embarrassing that the people can make so much of the ocean, and we in Ireland can't do the same. A good bowl of chowder along the coasts is about all you could hope for in Ireland!
Lima was much better crack this time round with the lads with me this time, plus I knew the places to head out to this time too. Nights out generally ended with seeing the sun come up, and sleeping late. Its a tough life I know!

Here's a few pics of a few wild nights we had in Lima, ...

The plan after Lima would be to head north, towards Trujillo, and stop off at the next surf spot along the way. It will depend on the swell and form when we decide to head north from here.
