Greetings, once again from Texas. Mike here with the update.

Our schedule has been pretty relaxed lately, and we're told that the leisurely pace will continue throughout the semester.

Kelsey and I splurged this weekend.... we bought a Nintendo Wii to accompany us on our travels. Kelsey's parents got one for Christmas, as well as a Wii Fit Plus (with balance board). We liked it so much that we considered buying one for the road. Even just over the one week of Christmas, Kelsey's bad back and neck improved through the daily exercises offered by the game. We figured it would be an investment, especially given the alternative of sitting in bed watching TV shows in the evening (our life isn't always exciting and glamorous :)

So... we bought one.

It wasn't easy, though. We were in Midland for a few days, and their one Walmart was sold out. Over the weekend, we stayed in San Angelo, which has two Walmarts. Both were sold out.
We ended up going to Target, where, surprisingly, there were over twenty Wiis in stock. And a dozen Wii Fits. Incredible. It's as if the Texans never heard of Target.

We really like our new Wii, though. As expected, it has already helped us improve our posture and balance. Wii Fit really does offer a nice fitness program, with plenty of options to personalize your workout and catalog your progress. We haven't just sat and watched TV for a while; instead, we've wrapped up our days with some exercise.
Hopefully, when the evenings get a little warmer, we can actually throw a real ball. Until then, Wii'll make do with what we have.
