After our school's show on Long Island, we took a side trip downtown Manhattan.  I've always always wanted to see Rockefeller Center at Christmas time - so we went.

It was BEAUTIFUL!  There's nothing like heralding in the Christmas season with millions of your closest friends in New York City!

We visited the toy store F.A.O Schwarz, snapped pictures at Rockefeller center, sipped Starbucks down 5th Ave...got legally robbed by parking fees... and thoroughly enjoyed our little visit.

This is more of a picture entry than a text entry. Enjoy!

Mike here..
One last story... driving out of New York, we entered New Jersey for the last time this semester. We looked forward to completing our last two schools in the Garden State and crossing NJ off our list for a long time.

But I suppose New Jersey wasn't too hapy to see us, either. Literally less than a mile across the state line, on the New Jersey Turnpike, our tire found a nail on the road, and we went flat--fast.

Thankfully, there was a service station just a few lane changes away, so we were able to flop into a safe place to park and address the problem. Kelsey and I changed the tire after a while, and we were on our way. But not before New Jersey offered us a royal welcome back.
