Today, after two more schools with Campus Life, Maj took us to check out his family's cabin on Lake Wallenpaupack. We didn't stay long--just long enough to snap some pictures, skip some rocks, and soak in the vista of the Poconos.
Kelsey adds:
It was fun to see Maj light up on the water. He's a level guy, not happy not sad, just level - most of the time. But get that man talking about water skiing, boating, or anything on the water, and he smiles, laughs and is o-so-very-happy. So to convince him to take 15 minutes to visit the lake before going home was like twisting the arm of Gumby.
It may have been short, but the time was refreshing. I'm a girl who grew up on lakes, so seeing open water is always a nice feeling.
