Just one school today! A 9:00 show, and that's it. Perfect.

Set-up today was really fun. We were at a middle school, and provided with six guys from the football team. (Funny how middle school football players are no bigger than other middle school guys).

They were great help. They listened to instruction, and didn't work ahead without it. We got done setting up early, and the boys were excused from the entire period, so we had some time to fill.

I decided to instigate a game. I ran out to the van to get some spare rolls of duct tape, and started an impromptu game of Duct Tape Races.

Three teams of two would compete head to head, rolling their duct tape down the auditorium aisle much in the style of a soapbox car. Round 1, all three tapes rolled simultaneously, gaining points for each checkpoint down the aisle. Round 2, two teams would roll down the aisle while the other team would be at the bottom, bowling their tape up the aisle trying to knock out the other teams. Round 3, one team would roll their tape after the other teams placed their rolls in the aisle, hoping to gain points if they are hit by the rolling tape.

We actually only got through two rounds. Since then, I've been brainstorming more rules. But today's results were 9-2-0. Quite a victory for the 9-pointers! They were rewarded with two cell phone pockets [we picked up yesterday from some kid giving them away], each filled with some Starburst.

It was fun playing with the kids! And then that was our day! We were back in the hotel by 10:30.

We called Andrew today, asking if it's possible to go back to YFC with Maj later in the month. He shuffled some schedules, pulled some strings, and we're not only getting our wish granted, we're also switching entire tours! We are trading touring schedules with another team. Our new schedule will focus us more in Maryland, as well as dipping us into Virginia in December. Sure, we'll have moments of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, but not nearly to the degree of our current tour.

So! That's an exciting change! We'll get to work with some Christian youth (actually more than once--there's another YFC event in Maryland later in the semester), and dodge some December snow.

That's the update :) Stay tuned for more
