Sunday nights are the best when I am with Harmony watching a movie in the warm house. This is why it sucked to leave her at 5pm to drive in the torrential and freezing rain for 2+ hours to the lovely JFK airport for an overnight flight.

When I booked the flight, all window seats were taken so I took an aisle seat towards the back where I could try to sleep since I knew I wouldn't have another chance until Monday night Germany time which is another 6 hours added to ours.

Naturally I was seated for only 5 minutes when a flight attendant approached me and asked if I would exchange seats with the wife of the guy next to me so she can sit by him. I asked if it was an aisle seat and he said yes so I obliged. Like I would say no anyway.

Well, the aisle seat landed me literally directly next to the entrance/exit of the galley (kitchen) and 3 rows in front of screaming twin babies.........awesome!

Singapore Airlines is known for their service and I will tell you their service was amazing. However, that meant that they had about 12 flight attendants constantly rushing everywhere they went. Guess where they went the most? Yep, the galley. These people would fly in and out of this little box like they were part of a Chinese ballet set to Metallica music. I almost died a few times. I have the coffee on my laptop bag to prove it.....and I don't even drink coffee.

Well, I got about 2 hours total sleep on this thing. Not fun.

Since it is now the next day, we will continue this on the next posting.
