What can i say, our whole trip to Salzburg revolved around The Sound of Music. We had this german lady, Rosie, drive us around the town and surrounding country side all the while playing The Sound of Music soundtrack. We loved it. We did manage to resist singing with Rosie but not from lack of her trying.
Salzburg also was the home of Mozart, so we caught this Mozart dinner performance that turned out to be very entertaining. Erin got to the dinner early (I was finishing watching Czech dismantle US at the town square) and we had seats right by the orchestra. The orchestra in this case were these young performers dressed in traditional garb. There was also to opera singers (guy and girl) that performed right by us. Opera is much more livid when you can see the neck veins bulging on the singers right next to you. Erin and I were surrounded by older French, English and German couples as well as one Japanese professor that attempted jokes like, "I tell my student I Mozart's number one fan!" and then he laughed his head off.
