Welcolme to KL.
The capital city of Malaysia was fantastic.
We arrived at lunchtime after a long bus journey, and spent the afternoon at the KL tower, the fifth largest communications tower in the world. The ticket we bought included a visit to an animal park, a pony ride and F1 simulation which we thought was a bargain. The animal park was a room with poorly treated animals, Mike nearly hit the man on the Donkey and the F1 was ....lets just say not like Hammy!! But the KL tower was amazing!!!!!!!! The view was spectacular and we stayed up there until sunset, taking in the amazing views and dreaming about the 5 star hotels we could be staying in!
The next day we got up early to get ourselves tickets to the Petronus towers, and we booked our slot for 4.30pm. We then headed to the KL aquarium (we love our fishes!!) The aquarium was AMAZING! It has a 90m long tunnel which you walk through and are surrounded by fish, sharks, turtle etc! We then had ourselves a fish foot spa! Where the fish eat the dead skin (Lush!) it was very ticklish but our feet felt good afterwards! We headed up the petronus towers in the afternoon, for a view not as good as the KL towers, but still an experience to be had as it was on a sky bridge.
To top off an amazing day, we headed to the Sky bar in the evening, on the 42nd floor of an amazing hotel, where we sipped cocktails with a view of the towers in the moonlight-wow!
Our last day in KL took us to the F1 Malaysian Grand Prix track. Despite being nearly conned by a 'fake' security guard, we enjoyed seeing the corners that Hammy drives and imagined being there on race day!
We really enjoyed Malaysia. Even though Ems became a looking target for the locals, even the women! It became a regular thing (every five minutes) for her to be stared at and looked up and down (blonde and wearing shorts!) but it did become an entertaining game for us when we began staring back!
Next stop...Singapore!
Love and Hugs xxxx
