Our last day on the junk started with a trip to the island next to where the Jasmin had dropped anchor for the night. After hiking up the 400+ steps to the top of the island and Kym nearly losing a lung in the process, we were rewarded by some spectacular views from the Top of TiTop island as the video clip will show. It's winter time here at the moment so the region is still prone to rain & is consequently overcast...but spectacular non the less.

After a leisurely walk down the 400+ steps we hopped back onto the Jasmin for another monster breakfast/brunch. The Jasmin then set sail & headed North for 2 hr sail back to Halong City.

Arriving back on the jetty at Halong City, our driver picked us up & we again had to brave the 3.5 hr crazy drive back to Hanoi where we would spend another night.

To kill sometime we had arranged some tickets to go to the 'must-see' Water Puppet show. Cheesey is a phrase that springs to mind & the only questions going thru Mike's mind was where was Mr Tracey & when would Thunderbird #1 be launching. The 1 hr show was in Vietnamese with lots of Chinese Opera like singing so you can imagine we had no problem following the "story".

By the end of the water puppets we'd had enough & decided to head back to our hotel & were pleasantly surprised to find we had the hotel restaurant to ourselves for a very yummy US$8 five course meal.

Looks like you're having a really good holiday. And lovely to see you're both still smiling...
