It took us 17 hours to cross Lake Nasser from
Aswan to Wadi Halfa, although the ferry was a real pit and every bit of floor space crowded with people and their belongings and the toilets were disgusting, this dreaded ferry crossing did not turn out as bad as I had expected. Our dirty "cabin" was good enough to have a decent nights sleep and I spent the morning reading until our arrival. It took us a while to disembark and clear customs and then we made the short 8km trip by bicycle (what else) to camp. Off for a quick dinner in the little town before the rider meeting to sort out lockers. We are now with the TDA truck that was waiting in
Sudan, we packed our lockers and had to repack to make it fit, bit of a challenge at the moment which we need to figure out, as Sharita says "sort your shit out, if it doesn't fit you have too much"!
