Day 4

Relaxing morning in Londonderry.

Introduction to Divinity and Rambo, Blueys new temporary Arabian equine lawnmowers.

Cricket with Jackson who seems to have the skill to whack my bowling in a manner similar to the current Ashes series. Lots of time spent looking for lost balls.

Off for a motorcycle cruise round the local area, Bluey on his trusty Trumpet with Wally following or wobbling behind on a K1200LT.

It transpired that it wasn't a case of a whinging Pom whining with the same frequency of the BMW motor but a case of worn head bearings. eBay should provide the solution in a couple of days.

Day 5

Into Merrylands and hook up with fellow traveller Keith, commonly known as Blueys Old Man. At 84 he is gearing up for a 12 month round Oz tour early next year.

Leaving Bluey to carry on modifying the caravan to take Keith's trail bike (not bad for 84) we headed off into Parramatta to hitch a ride on the River Cat for the 90 minute trip to Circular Quay.

With the benefit of a $22 travel card we then hopped on the ferry for the 30 minute crossing to Manly and a walking tour around the resort. Lots of youngsters here enjoying the surf.A nice place to live for sure.

After sweating our way round the North Heads we deserved the fish and chip supper in the pub overlooking Manly harbour followed by huge Gelato before heading back to the city, Circular Quay and the train back out to Richmond.

With our driver waiting at the station we were whisked around the town to admire the Xmas lights. It's a pretty serious business down under but hard to take in snowmen and Santa when it's 25C !
