"Japanese tea,Japanese tea",with these words ringing in our ears,we disembaked at Narita airport for an overnight stop and to catch up with my expat mate Gus and his family for an all eating all eating extravaganza.
After a short car journey and a stop at the convenience store for beer and snacks we headed to the ryokan that was to be our base for the evening. Not long after it was time to find somewhere to eat.

As most of you probably know, Mick and I like our food so I will describe our menu (photo attached hopefully). Fried lotus root salad, Fugu (poison fish) - which Myumi kindly let us eat without telling us what it was- sashimi, Yakitori and quite a few other things I can't remember the name of right now.

At midnight, we went off to the main buddhist temple in Narita which is actually a series of a few temples, pagodas. I can't beleive they just let you walk around in it. In Australia it would be vandalised for sure.
