While in Croatia, one of the wheelchair teams Mick had been in contact with confirmed their interest and offered him a spot for the upcoming season! So we quickly solidified plans for the rest of our September travels, deciding it would be nice to spend our remaining week experiencing Italy - the food was definitely a primary motive.

Before finally departing Croatia and heading to the next leg of our trip in Italy, we took a ferry out to the small island of Lopud where we'd heard there was a very nice beach. After a pleasant boat ride over, it was a long trek over the hills to the far side of the island where we rewarded with a very nice beach indeed. The sand was nice, the water clear, and best of all there was an awesome yellow Labrador who spent all day hanging out with us and hunting fish in the surf. Then it was back to the Dubrovnik harbour to catch the overnight ferry to Bari, Italy. Photos below. . .
