Where I stayed
We are quite comfy in our tent on the lawn at the back of Rancho 23 near the chicken coop. We just go in at bed time and slide in the bag. Then up and out and about when we awake. No alarms (we usually sleep through the rooster crows). No making the bed/sleeping bag. The hot shower works well in the morning when the pressure is good.
Today, Duffy had errands to run and we went with him and dog Dena to the San Quintin area; stopping to say "hi" to friends, re-coloring some paint at the paint store, visiting the carpenter about a nesting box job, checking out the inventory of doors at the hardware store, Dropping Michelle's rear pannier rack to be welded at Oscar down the street., fish taco and cevichy tostada stop, picking up 35#’s of chicken scratch, a stop at the watch repair shop and then a stop for margaritas, our first in Mexico.
There is a large 3 star hotel near the Cielito Lindo beach area. It has little business because tourists are now afraid to come, plus the roads washed out in big rainstorm last January and because it is summer. But the ocean view is great from the hotel and most of the landscaping has been redone since the floods. And the ocean provides a cool breeze. We have a round of Margaritas on the rocks. Asking them to take it easy on the ice left more room or triple sec and tequila. They used Sprite and fresh squeezed lime juice in them as well. Duffy bared all to show off his tattoo of dog Dena. For the next round we went to the Cielito Lindo bar for one too many for Michelle.Back at the Ranch, Michelle got the "spins" and curled up with Chocolate in his doggy bed..
Tuesday is equally as lazy. We see Jason off at about 7AM for his trip across the desert. Then off to Baja Best for breakfast for the 3rd day in a row.....
