Hi Everyone,

Sweetie Pie is doing great. They started a bit later than planned and projected two to three hours in surgery. But they finished in under two hours because everything went smoothly (a good sign).

Afterward, Dr. Ghiai said 'good news'. No complications. They were able to complete the laparoscopic surgery with 4 small incisions. Very little bleeding. The surrounding tissues looked very healthy. And there was no sign of any further problems. However, the lab results will be used to determine if everything was contained. If lab results are good, radiation will not be required...

Michelle may be released earlier than planned depending on how she feels after the anesthesia wares off. She has morphine in her drip right now and can add more with a push of a button. So far, no need for more.

It is a great relief. She is already talking about the being ready for cycling sooner rather than later (or maybe it is the morphine talking).

Hi Dave,

I hope you are OK too. This must be hell for you too, when you are the one in the waiting room. I wish I could have been there with you! I know all will be well for mom and her prognosis. In my heart. Please don't let her get on her bike too soon. What's the hurry, really? We love you both & wish for nothing but a speedy recovery.

We are really really happy how everything has turned out.
Now, (well... when your fit and ready) you can get pedalling :-)
