Where I stayed
Today was expected to be a lazy day.I did some hair maintenance and Dave was planning to watch some football and the Rose Bowl parade. The temperature outside is 10 to 20F and it looked pretty overcast. We gave the car a badly needed wash job and headed for lunch at our Szechuan Restaurant. It seemed like the only place open on New Years Day.[
When we came out of the restaurant at around 2:00, the sky was blue and Arches National Park beckoned us. It is hard to drive in the park without pulling out the camera every 5 seconds. We decided to hike the mile and a half up to Delicate Arch. By far, it is the most famous arch. It is featured on car license plates for Utah and every publication about Arches. We took many pictures again and reached Delicate Arch just 20 or so minutes before the sun disappeared behind a cloud. What an awe inspiring view.
