We hadn't bothered to dig out our sleeping bags last night because we hadn't needed them the last 2 nights on the Keys. But here in the Everglades the temperature dropped to about 44F overnight and we were cold. We managed to stay cozy and toasty by cuddling up to each other. It did not rain, but the night time humidity soaked the rainfly as if we had been in a monsoon.

According to plan we got an early start this morning. By 7:15 AM we we're on our way to "Shark Valley", Northern part of Everglades  (1.5 hr drive). On the way we got hit by hefty rainstorm and spotted most perfect and vivid rainbow. By the time we got to Shark Valley the weather had cleared up. From here we started the 15 mile loop on our bicycles. Again abundant wildlife all around us. Alligators galore too.

During our lunch break in Naples, Yolan Hotwired a hotel for us that turned out to be a bargain. We checked in early and dryed our damp camping gear in the comfy room and did the laundry.
